Camo & Chucks

I've had lots of time off this week to spend with my husband & it's been wonderful! It's put me in an even better mood for this gorgeous Friday! On top of that... Tomorrow we're going to spend some time with Mike's family & I'm really excited. PLUS... This weather is incredible! If it could just keep this up I would be soo grateful! My outfit today is actually from yesterday. I mixed the winter & spring apparel up together.

I may wear my camo pants too often but I just LOVE them. It took me forever to find the perfect pair. And of course I love my Chucks. They go with almost anything and add a bit of summer to my life. My pants are from Forever 21. My shoes are Converse. My plain gray long sleeve is from Cotton On. My black vest was a Christmas present from my friend Lauren. And lastly, all my necklaces are from Forever 21.
If you notice.. One of my necklaces is for breast cancer awareness. My Grandma died from breast cancer a little over ten years ago & it forever changed our whole family. Anyone & everyone should support cancer research in any way they can.

Celebration!

This has been an exciting week for me when it comes to my self confidence. I have lost 13.8 lbs and for the first time in my ENTIRE life... I feel really good about myself. I can put on almost any outfit and not worry about if I look fat or not. I still have a bit to go before my goal, but I am definitely making process.

My stripped shirt is from a store called Lemon Ice & I love it. It fits me perfect and just flows. My pants are from Forever 21. You can't really see them but they're olive green with black leather accents on top and gold zippers on the bottom. My shoes are Chuck Taylor's from Journey's. And... My incredible necklace is from Charming Charlie's.

Another Wednesday

Apparently Wednesdays are popular days for me to post... Maybe because I always need a pick-me-up as much as everyone else. This past weekend was a hard one for me... Probably the hardest in the last couple years. 2015 hasn't started out too good for me. I can only hope for some improvement. This dreary weather is not helping either. In the summer, my husband & I are going to California with family and the idea of that vacation is what is getting me through. I really am grateful for the lack of snow, though. I should count my blessings.
And the outfit for today (drum roll please)...

First off... Excuse my hair. But besides that I am rather fond of this outfit. I honestly love these colors together.
The scarf was a present, so I don't know where it is from. The cardigan, white top, and the pants are all from H&M. The boots are from Nine West. And the purse is from Charming Charlie's.
I feel like the outfit, very much, matched the weather and my mood. The rest of this week is very busy for me, but I will do my best to post sooner than one week, again. I hope everyone enjoys this week and... Valentine's day is exactly one month away. Yay!

Happy Hump Day!

This week has been going by speedy quick! Which makes me very happy because I'm SUPER excited for this weekend. I just wanted to give everyone a pick-me-up, with this outfit, to help us all make it through the rest of the week.

I'm pretty much in love with this outfit. The boots are from Nine West--my aunt gave them to me and I love them! My leggings are from Forever 21. The plain, gray  long sleeve is from Cotton On. And my, frequently worn, red plaid shirt is from Old Navy.
I just love that it's a pretty plain outfit, but then it gets spiced up just by adding the red shirt around the waist. Plus... People have started noticing that I've lost weight and it's been really nice. Being on this diet hasn't been the easiest, since I'm used to eating whatever and whenever I want, but it has been SO worth it. I'm really proud of myself. Hopefully I can keep it up and get down to my goal weight.

Wardrobe Staples

There are items that almost every girl (and many guys) have in their wardrobe. A denim shirt is a huge one, as of late. I'm not gonna call that one a classic. A little black dress.. That's a classic, because that will never go out of style.
I'm really good at walking into any store and finding an incredible item of clothing, but then I get home & think... "What the heck am I gonna wear this with??" So lately I've been trying to build up all my basics. I've bought a lot of plain t shirts, a couple denim shirts, nicer white tank tops that you could put under almost anything, and some other basic items.
I am ALL about wearing what you want. We live in an era where you get to be exactly who you want to be and you won't be shunned for it. That is one thing that I LOVE about this generation. I love those outfits that make you stand out. Everyone needs the basics, but everyone also needs those items that make you feel special. And those are my thoughts for you on this fine Sunday.

For this outfit my boots are, once again, from Forever Young. My pants are from... I have no clue because my husband got me them for my birthday. I LOVE them because they look like skinny jeans, but they are most definitely leggings with back pockets. My sweater and denim shirt are both new from H&M. I got them for $15 each, which was more than half off (score!). And my necklace is from Forever 21.. Gotta love those statement necklaces. 

And please forgive how my hair has been looking homeless. Over the Christmas break I've been giving my hair a break from all heat and any other damage.

Welcome to 2015

As we've entered into 2015 I have a few New Years resolutions (like everyone else). They are... #1. To be a nicer person & give everyone I've been holding a grudge against, a clean slate. #2. To post more on this blog. #3. To be a better wife & maybe actually cook dinner every once in awhile. #4. And the cliché... Get to my goal weight (which I'm only 10 pounds away from).
Anyway... I spent my New Years Eve with two of my favorite people... My husband & my best friend, Kaeley. We went to a murder mystery party with a bunch of friends. It was a super fun night! Kaeley's husband Jake ended up being the murderer. Well I'll start off the New Year off with a semi edgier outfit. I'm always drawn to outfits like this for some reason.

My boots are from Forever Young and have been a lifesaver ever since it snowed. My pants Kaeley just gave to me so I honestly have no idea where they came from. My white tank top I just got from H&M for $5. I also just got my leather jacket today from Forever 21. I might have an obsession with those two stores. My necklace I've had for years. I'm pretty sure I got it from Forever 21, as well. 

Here's hoping we all have a great 2015!
